About
Hi, I’m Yağmur Solakoğlu. An illustrator and designer who brings stories to life through playful lines, bold colors, and a touch of surrealism.
From the very beginning, I have always seen my emotions and thoughts. Before words, my thoughts and emotions come in visual waves.
After getting my Bachelor's degree in journalism and working in diverse roles like content manager, social media specialist, marketing designer and corporate communication specialist, I have come to a point where my visual ideas have matured. I followed a path that led me to UCLA Design Communication Arts.
Combining my marketing background with graphic design principles allowed me to understand a brand’s DNA and even create it. I learned how to convince, create an impact and sell visually.
This very hands-on process sparked my visual thought process, and I started practising drawing. I fell in love with illustrating my dancing thoughts, emotions sparked by the beautiful universe surrounding us.
Now, I want to share my take on a vivid communication tool with you.
